Compaction Control For Soil Compactors (CCS 900)

Trimble compaction control systems help you roll a more efficient pattern so you can reach target passes and density faster. The Trimble CCS900 Compaction Control System maximizes soil compactor performance. Installed as an aftermarket system on any single smooth drum vibratory soil compactor with an open or enclosed cab, the system helps achieve target material compaction faster, more accurately, and with less rework.

CCS900 can detect sub-surface material anomalies, soft spots, and hidden obstructions. Problem areas can be excavated, re-graded, and compacted, prior to the start of more costly phases of the construction process, such as paving.

GNSS Antennas For Construction

Trimble offers several models of GPS and GNSS antennas to suit your specific application, signal tracking, and budget requirements. Trimble modular GNSS antennas represent a good investment for the future, with the ability to track modernized GPS signals, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, MSS (CenterPoint RTX, OmniSTAR), QZSS, and SBAS. The GA830 antenna also tracks the MSK Beacon signal.

Grade Control For Compact Machines

Maximize the control, speed and flexibility of your compact equipment. Now your small machines can mean big productivity.

Grade Control For Dozers

INTUITIVE SOFTWARE, RUGGED HARDWARE

The Trimble Earthworks Software runs on the 10-inch (25.4 cm).

Trimble TD520 display or the 7-inch (17.8 cm) Trimble TD510display. Colorful graphics, natural interactions, and gestures, and self-discovery features make Trimble Earthworks intuitive and easy to learn. Each operator can personalize the interface to match their workflow and a variety of configurable views make it easier to seethe right perspective for maximum productivity. To ensure everyone is operating from the latest design, transfer data files to or from the office wirelessly and automatically using Trimble Works Manager, mobile-friendly software that easily manages data and technology assets across project sites.

FOCUS ON GRADE

Horizontal Steering Control for dozers automatically controls the machine to follow any horizontal alignment such as a back of a curb, break-line, roadway centerline or bottom of slope, without operator assistance. Operators can also manually set up offsets from selected alignments that the machine can follow. Horizontal Steering Control allows the operator to focus on the grade, machine productivity and safety rather than worrying about steering, which reduces operator fatigue and errors. It enables the machine to follow the horizontal guidance from the 3D model, providing operators increased awareness of their surroundings, better accuracy and improved productivity with decreased overlap and fewer passes.

CAB-MOUNTED PORTABILITY

Trimble Earthworks for dozers mounts dual GNSS antennas on top of the cab to eliminate masts and cables traditionally located on the blade. The dual GNSS antennas are ideal for steep slope work and complex designs with tight tolerances. The new configuration allows you to easily move the antennas to other machines, to maximize your investment and keep your machines working. Cab-mounting antennas is more convenient and can save you time by reducing the need to reinstall them each day.

Grade Control For Excavators

EXCAVATOR AUTOMATICS

With Trimble Earthworks, you can now take advantage of the first integrated 3D aftermarket grade control automatics for excavators and tilt-rotator attachments. Excavators can work semi-automatically, allowing operators to create smooth, flat, or sloped surfaces more easily.

How it works:

  1. The excavator is placed in Autos mode

  2. The operator controls the stick

  3. Trimble Earthworks controls the boom and bucket

  4. Stay on grade, reduce overcut and increase production

Achieve grades consistently, with high accuracy and in less time by automating excavator operation with Trimble Earthworks.

AUGMENTED REALITY

Using a camera mounted on the outside of the machine, operators can now view 3D models in a real-world environment at a true-life scale, in the context of existing surroundings. On the Trimble Earthworks display, the model is overlaid onto existing ground giving the operator a better understanding of the work that needs to be done. Visibility of the bucket gives operators better situational awareness to be able to keep surrounding people and objects safe. Augmented reality for excavators enables users to easily understand 3D models, cut/fill information, slope data, and other bench points and reference points in context, without the need to interpret complex 2D plans or stakes.

PAYLOAD MANAGEMENT INTEGRATION

Upgrade your Trimble Earthworks Grade Control Platform with Trimble LOADRITE Payload Management for increased mass haul productivity and efficiency. Track bucket-by-bucket payload and monitor mass haul progress from the same powerful Trimble Earthworks TD520 display, prevent underloading and improve safety by avoiding overloading.

Grade Control For Motor Graders

DUAL-GNSS ACCURACY

Trimble, a leader in precision measurement technology, pioneered the dual GNSS solution to meet the needs of the construction industry. Dual GNSS provides real-time position and heading of the machine for the guidance of the motor grader blade in 3D, enabling faster reaction times and enhanced performance. The IMU-based system offers even better GNSS performance, for more accuracy and stability. The platform supports multiple correction services, including VRS and Internet Base Station Service (IBSS). And when a correction source is temporarily unavailable, the Trimble xFill feature will fill in the gaps to maximize up-time.

MASTLESS FLEXIBILITY

Trimble Earthworks for motor graders mastless configuration* mounts one GNSS antenna on the cab and one on the gooseneck of the machine to eliminate masts and cables traditionally located on the blade. Mastless GNSS receivers are ideal for the blade’s maximum range of motion, needed for steep slope work and complex designs with tight tolerances.

The new configuration enables contractors to decrease risk of damage to the machine, keep valuable antennas safer as well as reduce the time needed to remove and reinstall them each day.

Grade Control For Motor Graders

Move dirt faster and more precisely, with no stakes, to cut costs and improve safety.

Display design information and live cut/fill indications in the cab and excavate in a safer, stakeless environment.

The Trimble GCS900 3D Grade Control System installed on a scraper is ideal for mass excavation applications.

  • Track GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo signals
  • Display design information and live cut/fill indications in the cab
  • Excavate in a safer, stakeless environment.
  • Monitor avoidance zones in real-time
  • Collect as-built data as the machine cuts to grade
  • Keep tighter control over safety issues and see precisely where dirt is being moved on site
  • Resource Center

Applications: GCS900 for scrapers is useful for:

  • Land reclamation projects
  • Dam and reservoir construction
  • New infrastructure projects
  • Landfills and waste deposits

Configurations

Single GNSS: Measures the position and slope of the blade and compares that to design data for rough grading and mass excavation on complex design surfaces

Dual GNSS: Measures the exact position, cross slope, and heading of the blade for rough grading and mass excavation on steep slopes and complex design surfaces

Single Laser: For towed scrapers run a single laser to provide guidance and control of the bowl for flat and sloped work
